“Recently, the withdrawal of Chinese and Indian troops on the front line in the area of Lake Pangong was completed, as a result, the situation in the area has noticeably improved,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He added that "both sides should appreciate the current situation, which they managed to achieve with great difficulty, as well as by joint efforts to consolidate the achieved results."
Earlier it was reported that the disengagement of forces between India and China in the Ladakh region on Lake Pangong would be completed within a week.
