More than a month after his beating, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Yuriy, 15, was heard for the first time by the police on Wednesday.
According to BFM, the hearing lasted 1h30, due to the state of health of the schoolboy.
The latter spoke of a clash dating from January 10 which is, according to the Paris prosecutor's office, at the origin of the brawl during which he was beaten up, five days later.
His lawyer, Me Francis Szpiner, declined to comment on the young man's state of health, who had been hospitalized in serious condition.
Eleven young people are indicted in this case, most of them minors and domiciled in Vanves, in the Hauts-de-Seine.
Presented to an examining magistrate at the end of January and the beginning of February, they are prosecuted, depending on the case, for “attempted murder” or “theft with violence” and “participation in a criminal association”.
Six of them are imprisoned in this case of violence between adolescents from rival neighborhoods, which had taken place on the slab of Beaugrenelle.
This affair, which caused a stir within the political class and among several celebrities, shone the spotlight on the phenomena of gangs in the capital.
