Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - In the 28 vaccination centers in Hesse, up to 50,000 corona vaccinations per day are possible at full capacity.
However, the maximum vaccination capacity per day depends on the amount of vaccine available and the allocation of the dates for a vaccination based on this, said the Ministry of the Interior at the request of the German Press Agency in Wiesbaden.
The respective vaccination capacities of the locations are different due to the different sizes of the vaccination centers.
Hessen is striving to fully utilize all 28 vaccination centers in the state, including the mobile teams, as quickly as possible.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, it is not yet foreseeable when exactly general practitioners will start mass vaccination.
First of all, the capacities of the vaccination centers should be fully utilized.
The ministry said that the personnel requirements of the individual vaccination centers are planned according to requirements and are also covered.
A total of over 3000 people are active in the Hessian vaccination centers.
This includes the medical and medical staff as well as other people with non-medical tasks.

The first vaccinations for prioritization group two in Hesse are to begin on March 5th.

The Astrazeneca vaccine is currently only allowed to vaccinate 18- to 64-year-olds.
