Professional wrestler Tiger Jeet Singh, who has been working to support children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, was commended by the Consul General of Japan in Canada, where he has lived for many years.

Tiger Jeet Singh from India played an active part as a villain wrestler representing the Showa era, such as playing a great game with Antonio Inoki in Japan.

On the other hand, in Canada, where I have lived for many years, I am engaged in social contribution activities through a foundation named after myself, and immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake 10 years ago, I donated about 20,000 Canadian dollars and more than 1.6 million yen in Japanese yen. We collected and donated to the children in the disaster area.

In recognition of these achievements, the Consul General of Japan in Toronto commended the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation on the 25th.

At the ceremony held online, Consul General Takuya Sasayama expressed his gratitude, saying, "I will never forget the support for the children in the disaster area."

Tiger Jeet Singh, who received the award, said, "I was thrilled when I heard about the damage caused by the tsunami. I had to do something for the Japanese children who had spent 49 years. I thought. I want to visit Japan again soon. "

The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation will continue to donate an additional $ 20,000 to help children in the affected areas.
