President Moon Jae-in and President Moon on board the fishing guidance line from Busan New Port to Gadeok-do, received a report on the progress of the Gadeok New Airport and plans to create a cultural community in the Southeast region, and looked around the proposed site of the new airport.



The Blue House explained, "Gadeokdo Island is expected to become the basis for building a logistics platform in the Southeast region."



President Moon emphasized cooperation between the government and local governments to attract the '2030 Busan World Expo,' the task of creating a cultural community, said the Blue House.



The Southeastern Mega City is an initiative that unites Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam as an economy, life, culture, and administrative community, and today's (25th) strategy report was made not only at Gadeok Island, but also at Busan Bujeon Station and Busan New Port.



Earlier at Bujeon Station, Ulsan Mayor Song Chul-ho announced plans to create a life-administrative community including the establishment of a wide-area transportation network in the southeast region, and Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo announced plans to create an economic community at Busan New Port.
