Ottobeuren (dpa / lby) - The police found two high-quality toilet lids reported as stolen during an apartment search on Thursday in Ottobeuren in the Unterallgäu.
The toilet seats and hygiene items were stolen from a doctor's office in December last year, the police said.
According to the information, extensive investigations led to the suspect.
A judge gave permission to search the man's home.
It turned out that he had installed the toilet seat on his own toilets.
As part of the perpetrator-victim settlement, the accused paid for the toilet seat immediately and was therefore allowed to keep it.
A preliminary investigation into theft is still being conducted against the toilet seat thief, it said.
