Bremen (dpa) - The building contractor Kurt Zech does not want to invest in the financially troubled Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, despite his seat on the supervisory board.

As a reason, he named among other things the deterrent examples of Clemens Tönnies at FC Schalke 04 and Martin Kind at Hannover 96. "I think no investor who is interested in a city has been happy with his commitment," said Zech in one Interview from Radio Bremen.

Kind and Tönnies would have "had to make some decisions that not everyone likes".

However, he wants to run for a seat on the supervisory board again this year.
