An Israeli media report stated that Israel has been negotiating for months with Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain to build a defense security alliance, with the aim of confronting "the growing Iranian threat in the region."

The Israeli channel, I24, quoted private sources in the Gulf, Thursday, about the existence of negotiations between Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE for several months, to build a defense security alliance similar to NATO, to deal with the "growing Iranian threat" in the region.

She added that the negotiations come to come out with a common position of the four countries regarding Iran's attempt to build a nuclear bomb, and to obstruct its nuclear program, which represents a real threat to the region, she said.

The channel also considered that this alliance to be formed will counter Iran's influence and the increasing spread of its forces in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq.

According to the channel, Israeli sources did not confirm or deny this news.

This comes in conjunction with the Bahrain News Agency announcing that Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed Thursday, during a phone call, the importance of the participation of countries in the region in any negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file.
