A Manhattan attorney - who is investigating former President Donald Trump's tax files - received his income declarations after months of a drawn-out court battle, his spokesman announced on Thursday.

And CNN reported that the Manhattan District Attorney's Office Cyrus Vance obtained tax data for former President Donald Trump and related records.

The network said that the office received this data last Monday, hours after the Supreme Court rejected a petition by Trump's lawyers, asking it to veto a lower court decision obliging him to submit it.

A federal court had ordered the office that manages Trump's accounts to hand over its tax returns and bank accounts over an 8-year period to a Manhattan attorney who is investigating charges of fraud and fraud by the Trump Foundation.

Last Monday, the Supreme Court rejected a unanimous decision by Trump's lawyer to avoid revealing these tax returns, as they requested the annulment of a federal court decision that had ordered Mazar's accounting office to hand over the tax returns and bank accounts of the former president over an 8-year period to a Manhattan attorney. Who has been claiming it for months.

The closed sessions of the investigation - which is led by Vance - are held before a jury, and no one knows when the investigation will end, or whether judicial prosecutions will be launched under it, which, if it happens, will set a precedent, as no previous president has been prosecuted before the courts.

The investigation initially focused on sums of money paid in 2016 before the presidential election to two presumed mistresses of the Republican billionaire, and now includes issues related to tax fraud, insurance fraud, or bank fraud.

And US media reported that investigators have recently questioned employees of Deutsche Bank, who has long been the financial supporter of Trump and his group, "The Trump Organization" and his insurance company, "On".

They also re-questioned Michael Cohen, Trump's former lawyer, who has been sentenced to 3 years in prison and is serving his sentence under house arrest.
