Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) has promised further corona easing for the Hessian population in March.
If the pandemic development does not worsen, five people from two households should be allowed to meet again, said Bouffier at the presentation of a four-step plan by the state government on Thursday in Wiesbaden.
Children up to 14 years are not included.
According to the plan, it should then be possible to practice sports again with these contact rules at all sports facilities in Hessen.
However, amateur sports for children and adults are not possible again because of the still confusing situation with the more contagious variants of the coronavirus.
According to the head of government, swimming pools remain closed.
Visiting fitness studios should be allowed with individual appointments.
The first stage of the plan also provides for the opening of leisure and cultural facilities in the open air.
This applies to visits to zoos and open-air museums, for example.
Shopping should be made possible in all shops in the country with a prior appointment under strict hygiene rules.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these opening steps are initially a plan, but not yet a decision.
The concrete measures would only be taken after the federal-state meeting next week.
The deliberations of the Prime Minister with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) are planned for next Wednesday.
The Hessian Corona Cabinet will meet on Thursday and make specific decisions.
The head of government said that the pandemic is the guideline for action.
The relaxation of the corona rules in Hesse does not only depend on the incidence values.
It is also about the situation in the clinics, the number of new infections every day, the vaccination status and contact tracking.
It is therefore crucial that citizens continue to adhere to the Corona rules and remain cautious and prudent.
The second stage of the perspective plan accordingly provides for further relaxation before Easter and in a third stage after the Easter holidays.
According to the state government, stage four is planned for May.
It is possible that the remaining restrictions will be gradually lifted from June.
