Schöppenstedt (dpa / lni) - A fire on the premises of a wood processing company in Schöppenstedt (Wolfenbüttel district) caused a large-scale deployment of the fire brigade.
The fire broke out on Wednesday evening for an unexplained cause in a suction pipe of a machine in a hall, said a police spokesman.
Around 140 firefighters were on duty and put out the fire.
The extinguishing work took about seven hours.
The amount of property damage was still unclear.
Nobody got hurt.
