Kirchlengern (dpa / lnw) - An unknown person is said to have set fire to hay bales in Kirchlengern in East Westphalia and caused a fire on a riding stables.
The 20 horses were uninjured, said the police in the Herford district on Thursday.
A video camera had captured a suspicious man on the premises the night before, who had pulled a scarf over his face.
The picture reached the owner (28) of the riding stables via mobile phone.
He hurried to the courtyard, where flames could already be seen.
50 hay bales were burning in front of the horse stable.
The fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control, the adjacent stables were spared.
