Dresden (dpa / sn) - Saxony is considering a cautious opening of retail stores with the "Click & Meet" system.

Customers can book an appointment online in the store and then shop there at the agreed time.

«The number of infections is no longer falling.

To offer a responsible perspective, “Click & Meet” can be an option.

We are checking this, but caution is still the top priority, ”tweeted Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) on Thursday.

So far, in Saxony, only “Click & Collect” has been possible for shops other than basic needs, where goods ordered online can be picked up at the shop by arrangement.

The Dresden FDP member of the Bundestag, Torsten Herbst, described “Click & Meet” as a “placebo for real opening steps in retail”.

As soon as the incidence regionally allows, one should allow the store opening with strict hygiene concepts.

Instead, Saxony is planning a “completely impractical bureaucratic monster” that would overwhelm smaller retailers in particular: “Large retail chains can certainly set up an online platform for a ticket system for a shopping spree relatively quickly.

But the small retailer can't do that. "

Appointments by phone or email are also not realistic.
