Wetzlar (AP) - Handball Bundesliga club HSG Wetzlar has signed ex-national player Felix Danner for the new season.

According to a club announcement on Wednesday, the 35-year-old received a one-year contract from the Hessian league competitor MT Melsungen.

Danner should form the Kreisläufer trio together with Patrick Gempp and Adam Nyfjäll.

He has been playing in Melsungen since 2009.

«Felix has known the handball Bundesliga for over a decade, was able to play games for the DHB and on the European stage, so at the absolute top level.

With the commitment, we have fulfilled the wish of our future trainer Benjamin Matschke to work with three circulators in the future, "said HSG managing director Björn Seipp.
