February 24, 2021: Next week, the U.S. government will distribute 3 to 4 million doses of Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus vaccine if the Food and Drugs Administrion (FDA) has issued emergency administration clearance in the meantime. 

Jeff Zients, the Biden administration's pandemic strategy coordinator, said. "Johnson & Johnson has announced that it aims to deliver a total of 20 million doses by the end of March," Zients added. Today the FDA has "confirmed the safety and efficacy of the single dose of Johnson & Johnson's Coronavirus vaccine, particularly against severe cases". 

The final green light therefore appears very close.
