The seven independence leaders in the Lledoners prison will be able to continue with the third-degree penitentiary regime until the final resolution on this concession by the Generalitat, which must be made by the Supreme Court.

Just as yesterday it was ruled for the former president of the Parliament, Carme Forcadell, and for the former councilor Dolors Bassa, a prison surveillance court agreed to maintain for now the semi-release regime for the former vice president of the Government Oriol Junqueras, the former councilors Jordi Turull, Josep Rull, Raül Romeva and Joaquim Forn, as well as the president of Òmnium Jordi Cuixart and the former leader of the ANC Jordi Sànchez.

The Prosecutor's Office appealed against the decision of the Generalitat to grant the third degree of prison to the independence leaders, since they have served a quarter of the sentence.

However, the prison surveillance courts have estimated that, in a precautionary manner, they do not revoke the administration's decision and that they may continue with the semi-release regime until the Supreme Court, as sentencing court, rules.

Last summer the situation was similar but on that occasion there was a difference of opinion.

While the prison surveillance court that examined the resources for the Lledoners inmates ordered their precautionary admission, the one that studied that of the two policies considered that they could continue in the third degree.

In December, the Supreme Court ordered the revocation of the third degree and all were locked up all day for two months, until in January, before the electoral campaign, the Generalitat granted them semi-freedom,

With the judicial decision, the nine pro-independence leaders convicted of sedition will be able to get out of jail every day and return alone to sleep, from Monday to Thursday.

The surveillance courts must decide on the resources of the Prosecutor's Office despite the fact that the safest thing is that they appeal to the Supreme Court as the sentencing court to have the last word.

In July, the inmates again have a correctional degree review, so the process would begin again.
