Strong increase for commuting in the longer term

The largest commuting in Östergötland may not take place unexpectedly between the two larger cities of Linköping and Norrköping.

But significant commuting flows also run from the two cities to Stockholm.

According to the report, it is primarily men who are responsible for the long-distance commute to Stockholm.

Seen in the period 1990-2018, commuting between Linköping and Norrköping has increased sharply.

The development has also led to an increasingly cohesive labor market.
