Oberstdorf (dpa) - three-time world champion Markus Eisenbichler also sees positive sides in the corona-related changes around ski jumping competitions.

"For me personally, it is even a little more pleasant, because the contact restrictions and the lack of spectators mean that there is not so much hustle and bustle on the hill," said the 29-year-old of the "Augsburger Allgemeine" (Wednesday).

"It has more of the flair of training jumps, because I don't put too much pressure on myself."

Before the first competitions at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf, Eisenbichler also added: “Of course it's nicer on the tour or now at the World Cup with spectators and it pushes me a little more.

In general, however, it is more relaxed for me, since many media meetings only take place virtually or by phone. "

At the last World Championships in Seefeld, Eisenbichler won gold two years ago on the large hill, with the team and in the mixed team.
