Erfurt (dpa / th) - Pupils from the seventh grade should be able to return to their schools from Monday if the seven-day incidence in their district is stable below 80.

This was announced by Thuringia's Minister of Education, Helmut Holter (left), in the Thuringian state parliament on Wednesday.

In the case of the "shaky candidates," as Holter said, the incidence of which fluctuated around the value of 100, they wanted to decide how to proceed at the beginning of next week.

An education ministry spokesman said schools that may open should be informed on Thursday or Friday.

According to the currently applicable regulation, pupils from the seventh grade should only be allowed to return to schools if there are stable fewer than 100 new infections within seven days.

According to Holter, the value of 80 was created in order to have a certain security against fluctuations upwards.
