Osnabrück (dpa / lni) - A man from the county of Bentheim parked his car in an Osnabrück parking garage at the beginning of February and has not found it since.

"I don't even know how often we've been to Osnabrück and looked for it," said his daughter on Wednesday.

There is no parking ticket with the name of the garage - the barrier was open and, according to the daughter, the parking ticket machine did not work.

Her 62-year-old father drove from Schüttorf to Osnabrück for an appointment on February 3, hurriedly looking for a parking garage in the city center, drove into it - and afterwards couldn't remember where the parking garage was, she said.

He took the train back to the small town about 60 kilometers away.

First the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung" reported on the case - the daughter approached her so that other people could also take part in the search.

In the past three weeks, father and daughter have rummaged through many parking garages in Osnabrück.

At least 15 multi-storey car parks and underground garages can be considered in the area concerned.

The Osnabrücker Parkstätten Betriebsgesellschaft (OPG), a subsidiary of Stadtwerke, was also contacted by the family.

"Our employees are on the lookout for the car," said Stadtwerke spokesman Marco Hörmeyer - but so far without success.
