The review is national and shows the population's attitudes to, confidence in and perception of Swedish health care.

A total of 50,854 responses were collected during 2020, via web surveys and telephone interviews.

When asked how the corona pandemic was handled, Västerbotten ends up at the top, followed by Gotland, where 81 percent state that they have very great or fairly great confidence in the handling.

"Pleasing and important"

- In the situation we are in right now, it is both gratifying and important that we have this trust among Gotlanders, says Health and Medical Director Marie Loob in a press release from the Region.

Östergötland ends up in seventh place, where 76 percent state that they have very high or fairly high confidence in the handling of the pandemic.

When it comes to access to care, Östergötland ends up in eleventh place, with 88 percent answering that access is good, which is the same figure as the country.

Gotland ends up much better, with 91 percent answering that the supply of care is good when needed, which places Gotland in fourth place.
