A 14-year-old teenager died Tuesday in Boussy-Saint-Antoine following a new clash between gangs of young people in Essonne, less than 24 hours after the death in this department of a 14-year-old schoolgirl, stabbed during a fight.

The mayor of Bousse-Saint-Antoine calls at the microphone of Europe 1 to the "responsibility of each".

Less than 24 hours after the death of a schoolgirl stabbed in Saint-Chéron, in Essonne, following a violent brawl a clash between two bands of neighboring municipalities, a teenager died Tuesday afternoon in the same department, in Boussy-Saint-Antoine.

About sixty people, some with bladed weapons, had come to fight.

The municipality's PS mayor, Romain Colas, expressed his anger at this surge of violence and these clashes which he said have lasted for several decades.

"The clashes concern young people from two neighborhoods, two towns bordering my town. I grew up in the town of which I have the pleasure of being mayor. I am 41 years old and this culture has existed for 41 years. confrontation between young people from these two towns. We cannot be satisfied with that, "he said at the microphone of Europe 1. Having taken place about fifty kilometers away, the last two cases do not seem to be related, according to the prosecution.

"You shouldn't see your life threatened when you're 13 or 14"

In Boussy-Saint-Antoine, the 14-year-old boy was killed "most likely with a stab in the stomach," said the Departmental Directorate of Public Security (DDSP).

Another 13-year-old was injured in the throat and transported by helicopter to a hospital in serious condition.

"What is a 13 or 14 year old kid doing walking around with a knife in the street in the middle of the afternoon? You must not see your life threatened when you are 13 or 14 years old, it is unacceptable ", adds Romain Colas.
