According to him, the installation of the monument to Nevsky will primarily be a symbol of a return to the great cultural and historical heritage of the Russian people.

Earlier, the head of the synodal department for relations between the church, society and the media, Vladimir Legoyda, appreciated the idea of ​​erecting a monument to Prince Alexander Nevsky on Lubyanskaya Square, who was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church.

Voting on the installation of the monument on Lubyanskaya Square will be launched on February 25 at several sites, the short-list includes monuments to Felix Dzerzhinsky and Alexander Nevsky.
