"For rural revitalization, we want talents and industries to thrive," said Yu Liufen, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Party Secretary of Yanbo Village, Panzhou City, Guizhou Province.
At the end of November 2020, all 66 impoverished counties in Guizhou Province achieved poverty alleviation, and Guizhou achieved a decisive victory in poverty alleviation.
After eliminating absolute poverty, preventing the return of poverty and the emergence of new poor groups is the fundamental guarantee for consolidating the results of poverty alleviation and promoting the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

As a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Yu Liufen's proposals have always focused on "rural areas".
Yu Liufen believes that the development of a village needs to grasp its characteristics and advantages, and it also needs a village organization that can unite and forge ahead.
Through investigation and research, Yu Liufen's proposals centered on how to develop rural revitalization, how to grasp the weaknesses of rural areas, how to make village cadres more cohesive, and make them work more responsible, harder and harder.
In the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", how to consolidate the results of poverty alleviation and revitalize the countryside on this basis, in Yu Liufen's view, carrying out the work of rural grassroots party organizations is an important starting point.
Yu Liufen said: "Grass-roots organizations are a very important root. All work is ultimately focused on the village. The village leaders and tribes fail to implement and focus on the key points. Fortunately, the people’s lives are not happy and the feelings of satisfaction are also in the village. So the work of a village party organization is too important."

After visiting and investigating in the past year, Yu Liufen believes that there are still problems in the rural grassroots, such as weak village-level collective economy and shortage of village-level talents.
On the one hand, grassroots income is generally low, and talents cannot be retained; on the other hand, the training for grassroots talents is insufficient, which also breeds the problem of weak and loose work of grassroots party organizations to a certain extent.
"I have been the party branch secretary in Yanbo Village for 21 years. The development of the village is not'temporary', but continuous development. So I think it is more important to find and retain talent in the village." Yu Liufen said .
"We must start with ideological awareness, treatment levels and other aspects, and cultivate outstanding local talents to stay in our hometown for a long time. This is of great significance to the revitalization and development of rural areas." (End)
