Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - The corona tests that have just been approved for personal use by laypeople are not yet available in pharmacies.

"There is still nothing at wholesalers," said the chairman of the Saarland Pharmacists' Association, Susanne Koch, on Wednesday in Saarbrücken the German press agency.

"We have not yet been able to get any information from the manufacturers as to how we can obtain something."

They assume that at the next federal-state consultations on March 3, it will probably be decided whether it will be available nationwide and free of charge for everyone.

As far as you know, these rapid tests can also be sold outside the pharmacy, for example in discount stores.

The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices has issued the first three special approvals for corona tests for self-use by laypeople.

In all three tests, the samples would be taken by a smear in the front nasal area, a spokesman said on Wednesday.
