Berlin (dpa / bb) - The seven-day incidence of corona infections has risen to over 60 in Berlin.

On Wednesday, the Senate Health Administration recorded 60.4 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, again slightly more than the previous day (57.9).

After the value had fallen significantly for weeks, the trend recently reversed.

The corresponding Corona traffic light remains on red. It would only jump to yellow from a value of 30, and to green from 20.

On Wednesday 483 newly infected people were registered in Berlin, the previous day there were 268. On Wednesday a week ago, according to the management report, this value was 445 new infections.

The current number of cases rose to 127,936. Another 15 people also died from or with the virus.

The number of deaths since the pandemic began rose to 2,781. 

The corona traffic light continues to show yellow for the proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid 19 patients: it is currently 19.1 percent.

The threshold for a red traffic light signal is 25 percent.

The number of reproductions, on the other hand, is in the green area: the so-called R value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, fell from 1.04 on Tuesday to 0.88.
