Wolfsburg (dpa) - In the discussion about a possible appointment of Maximilian Arnold to the German national soccer team, Wolfsburg's managing director Jörg Schmadtke asked national coach Joachim Löw to watch a game in the VW city.
"I would like Jogi to come to us in Wolfsburg", Schmadtke told the "sports buzzer".
Although he does not know exactly how Löw gets his information about the players.
But: "If the national coach wants to invite Max, he should watch one of our games," said Schmadtke.
Midfielder Arnold has shown strong performances at VfL for weeks and has played a major role in the sporting heights of Lower Saxony.
At the end of March, the DFB-Elf will play three World Cup qualifiers against Iceland, Romania and North Macedonia.
“I said three months ago that I thought he was doing above average.
And if that is the case, it enables one to appear in the national team, ”said Schmadtke about the 26-year-old.
