The death of the former Saudi Oil Minister Ahmed Zaki Yamani

Former Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Ahmed Zaki Yamani, died today, Tuesday, at the age of 90 in London, and his body will be buried in the Al-Mualla Cemetery in Makkah.

Yamani held the position of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in 1962, and continued it until 1986.

The late studied law at Cairo University and graduated from Harvard University. He also worked as a legal advisor to the cabinet, a minister of state and a member of the cabinet in 1960, and he is the first secretary general of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
