Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - The number of corona infections in Saarland has risen by 124 to 28 355 within 24 hours.
This was announced by the Ministry of Health in Saarbrücken (as of 4 p.m.) on Tuesday.
The number of deaths related to the coronavirus grew by 5 to 865. The so-called seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days, was 62.6 across the Saarland - and thus above that Value of 59.4 on Monday.
The St. Wendel district had the highest seven-day incidence with a value of 80.5.
Currently, 1,104 people are infected with Sars-CoV-2 in Saarland.
160 of them are being treated in a hospital and 46 in an intensive care unit.
So far, the British and 56 South African coronavirus variants have been confirmed in the Saarland in 207 infected people.
