Prime Minister Chung "Higher chance of getting Pfizer vaccine first among the elderly"

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said, "It is highly likely that the elderly will be vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine first."

Prime Minister Chung appeared on Channel A today (23rd) and said, "Pfizer vaccine will be available in late March to early April," regarding the situation that AstraZeneca vaccination has been suspended for the elderly.

Regarding the possibility of'No. 1 vaccination', he said, "If the people hesitate to inoculate, a responsible person needs to come first, but at the moment it seems that there is no need." Said.

Prime Minister Chung assessed that the success of domestic companies in producing LSD (minimum residual type) syringes played a role, especially in relation to the first supply of 500,000 people out of Pfizer vaccine contracts at the end of this month.

Prime Minister Chung explained, "Pfizer needs a syringe, and we wanted to advance the (introduction) schedule," and "The relationship between the two sides went well, resulting in a'win-win' result."
