Dallas (AP) - National basketball player Maxi Kleber injured his foot in the NBA home win of the Dallas Mavericks against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Kleber had to leave the field at 102: 92 in the last quarter and never came back.

The Mavericks later reported a sprained left ankle.

It was unclear whether Kleber could play against the Boston Celtics around national team colleague Daniel Theis on Tuesday.

"No idea.

I'm not going to speculate, "said Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle.

Kleber played in the first game of the Mavericks after the eight-day forced break due to the onset of winter in Texas for almost 27 minutes and got five defensive rebounds during this time.

The Mavericks also scored 13 points more with the 29-year-old on the field than they conceded - no other basketball player in the game had this record as good as Kleber.

“This guy is a winner.

Just forget how many points he scores and all that other stuff.

He's a difference player when he's on the floor, ”said Carlisle.

Kleber had two points after free throws.

Without Dennis Schröder and Anthony Davis, defending champions Los Angeles Lakers surprisingly suffered a defeat against the Washington Wizards around Moritz Wagner and thus lost their third game in a row.

Despite a 17 point lead in the third quarter, the Lakers lost 124: 127 after extra time.

As the starting player, Wagner scored six points, a rebound and three assists in just over 15 minutes and was able to look forward to his fifth success in a row.

Isaac Bonga didn't play.

Schröder has been on the NBA's corona list since Thursday.

There professionals are noted who either had a positive or ambiguous corona test or are the contact person for an infected person.

When it can be used again is open.

Davis is injured and the Lakers are missing for several weeks.
