It was almost two weeks ago that a man in his 80s was reported missing after being out on a skating trip on Levrasjön in Bromölla.

On Tuesday, the naval police came down from Stockholm and found the man dead.

- It was in connection with a dive in Levrasjön today that divers found the man, says Sara Andersson at the police.

There is no suspicion of crime.

Do you know what happened?

- We know nothing more than that he disappeared, there was a guard and at the guard were his belongings, says Thomas Johansson, communicator at the police.

In connection with the man's disappearance, the rescue service and the police searched for the man with, among other things, a helicopter, hovercraft and dog patrol.

Why did it take almost two weeks before the man was found?

- It has to do with the fact that we have to get resources with divers and underwater cameras.

We have received help from both the Coast Guard and the Maritime and Water Authority, and today the maritime police came down from Stockholm, says Thomas Johansson.

The man's relatives have been notified.

- This is tragic, but now he has been found and it is the best thing for the relatives at this stage, says Thomas Johansson.
