At the weather station in Falsterbo, they have for a week now seen how spring has come by storm.
- It has not been below zero degrees for a single minute since February 16.
Spring has come.
It is quite normal, but when I started working here just over 30 years ago, the spring did not begin until the beginning of March, says Karin Persson, weather observer in Falsterbo.
Meteorological spring in parts of Skåne
On Wednesday evening, SMHI's season map was able to show that it is meteorological spring in large parts of Skåne, with the exception of northern and north-eastern Skåne where so far it is only spring temperatures.
A week with plus degrees
Although it is precisely the temperature that determines whether it is meteorological spring, a week with days where the temperature is between 0 and 10 plus degrees, there are more signs of spring to be seen in Falsterbo.
- You hear how it sounds, birds sing.
The starlings have returned and inspected their nest, then you hear the great tit.
Then it sprouts, snowdrops, daffodils.
And the hens lay eggs, says Karin Persson.
