The Parisian handball players outclassed the Poles of Kielce, leaders of their Champions League group, 37 to 26, Tuesday night at home in Coubertin, in a late match of the first phase of C1 and gradually rise in the standings.

Luka Karabatic's teammates, back on the pitch after his abdominal injury that deprived him of the end of the World Cup at the end of January, signed the sixth victory of their European 20/21 campaign and moved up to 3rd place in their group with 12 points in nine matches played.

They are five points behind Kielce, but three games less on the clock, after postponements of matches due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The six-fold reigning French champions began their long final sprint of four matches in ten days in the Champions League, before the end of this group stage.

On Thursday, they will travel to Flensburg in northern Germany, before hosting the Norwegians from Elverum next Tuesday and finishing against the Hungarians from Szeged two days later.
