Berlin (AP) - Handball Bundesliga team Füchse Berlin has reached the round of 16 of the European League without having played.

The Berliners benefited on Tuesday from the 34:29 success of the French representative Nimes against Dinamo Bucharest.

This means that the foxes can no longer be displaced from one of the first four places in the group of six in the remaining games.

And these are enough to get ahead.

With the victory of the French, the Berliners lost the lead in Group B, but they can get them back on Wednesday.

Then the foxes themselves compete in the top game in the table sixth of the French USAM Nimes Gard league (6.45pm / DAZN).

It is still unclear whether the three remaining group games of the Berliners against Tatran Presov from Slovakia and Sporting Lisbon (return leg) can still be played.

Corona restrictions are currently preventing the games from being played.

And since the round of 16 starts on March 23, there are hardly any open dates.

Perhaps this is why these games will be decided at the green table.
