A 14-year-old girl was stabbed to death in Saint-Chéron, Essonne, on Monday afternoon.

The events occurred as she tried to interfere in a brawl between rival gangs.

An investigation is underway and an investigating judge will be seized on Wednesday, Evry prosecutor Caroline Nisand announced on Tuesday.

The day after the death of a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Saint-Chéron, Essonne, following a fatal stab, the prosecutor of Évry, Catherine Nisand, gave an update on the investigation , Tuesday evening.

The fatal stab was given during a brawl between rival bands from Essonne.

Six minors involved in the brawl are currently in police custody, including the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing, while an examining magistrate will be seized on Wednesday, date of the autopsy of the teenager from Saint-Chéron.

What happened on Monday afternoon?

The facts took place before 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

A group from the town of Dourdan, Essonne, is then looking for a youngster from a rival gang of Saint-Chéron.

"Dressed in black and wearing hoods", these miners meet another boy, a friend of the one they are looking for.

This is when it escalates.

One of the teenagers stabbed the victim, who was trying to intervene, in the stomach.

They then fled.

Who is the victim ?

The girl, who presented with a wound in the abdomen, was transported to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital, before succumbing to her injuries in the evening.

Born on June 16, 2006 in Dourdan, the teenager was in third grade in a college in Dourdan.

"The last of a family of four children, she was the subject of educational monitoring by a judge of the children of Évry," said the prosecutor of Évry. 

Where is the investigation?

After their flight, three minors were checked at a nearby train station and arrested.

The 13-year-olds were taken into police custody at 4.35 p.m.

Three other minors presented themselves to the gendarmerie with their parents, between 10:40 p.m. and midnight.

Two of them are 15 years old, the third is 16 years old. 

The qualifications retained are as follows: "murder of a 15-year-old minor", "aggravated violence against a 15-year-old minor in a meeting and with premeditation", "participation in a group with a view to committing violence", "non-assistance to anyone endangered over a 15-year-old ".

The investigation is being carried out jointly by the Paris research section and the Essonne departmental gendarmerie group.

According to the first elements of the investigation, they had taken public transport to do battle in Saint-Chéron, in a context of rivalry between gangs.
