Leverkusen (dpa) - The plastics group Covestro has felt the weak demand in pandemic times.
Sales fell in 2020 by 13.7 percent to 10.7 billion euros, as the company announced in Leverkusen on Tuesday.
The profit was 459 million euros, 16.8 percent lower than 2019. After all, business picked up sharply in the fourth quarter of 2020, which prevented worse overall figures - the high plastic demand from the construction, automotive and consumer electronics industries gave the group a conciliatory Annual accounts.
The company expects the recovery to continue in 2021.
