The US President, Joe Biden, has warned of complacency in the face of the Corona pandemic, with the number of virus deaths in the United States reaching more than half a million deaths.

Germany extends monitoring at border crossings for 8 days
Germany decided to extend control of border crossings with the Czech Republic and the Austrian state of Tirol, until next March 3, in the context of combating new mutations of the Corona virus.
A spokesman for the German Interior Ministry said, in statements, that the ban and the rules in effect on entry from these two areas would remain unchanged until then.
The European Commission sent a letter of complaint to the German ambassador to the European Union in Brussels, Michael Klaus, regarding these restrictions, explaining that many of the regulations are disproportionate or unjustified.
"We believe that Germany's understandable goal (to protect public health during a pandemic), can be achieved through less restrictive measures," the commission added in the letter.
The Commission now expects to receive a response within 10 working days.
Similar messages have been sent to Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, whose border measures are also not approved by the UNHCR.

Malaysia receives 182,520 additional doses of the Pfizer vaccine
