Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen team up for an eight-part podcast on Spotify. The first two episodes of Renegades: Born in the USA, taken from a long conversation recorded in the musician's studio in New Jersey, are already available. They tell anecdotes about their paths, from childhood to the presidency to the stages, which also intertwined when the Boss and the President played together at the White House, on the piano, pieces from the Motown repertoire and taken from musicals. Obama says in the first episode: “Bruce is a rock 'n' roll icon, I'm a lawyer and a politician, not as cool as him, and he's even bigger than me.” Spotify had previously worked with the production company of Barack and Michelle Obama, Higher Ground, and the former First Lady had tried her hand at streaming.

Last year, I sat down with my good friend Bruce @Springsteen for a long and meaningful conversation that touched on so much of what we're all dealing with these days.
