Erfurt (dpa / th) - Thuringia's Minister of Education Helmut Holter (left) has emphatically appealed to the staff in daycare centers, elementary schools and special schools to get vaccinated against the corona virus.

"The best protection is the vaccination," said Holter on Tuesday in Erfurt.

His ministry is currently preparing an employer certificate with which those affected can prove that they are eligible for vaccination.

According to Holter, 5000 vaccination appointments will be held on February 28 and March 7.

From Thursday, those eligible for vaccination could register on a website.

Holter emphasized that vaccination is voluntary.

However, he appealed: “Get vaccinated!

Take the opportunity on Thursday to make an appointment, ”said Holter.

This would make schools and daycare centers safer.

The federal and state health ministers agreed on Monday to upgrade teachers at primary and special schools as well as kindergarten teachers in the vaccination sequence from group three (higher priority) to group two (high priority).
