The WHO Secretary-General of the World Health Organization has repeatedly urged donations, criticizing some countries for preemption of the COVID-19 vaccine.



After meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier online, WHO Secretary-General Thewardros Adhanom Governor Yeosus, an international project for the joint purchase and distribution of Corona 19 vaccines with the preoccupation of wealthy countries,'CoVax Facility' vaccine He said that there was a shortage of supplies.



"If we can't fight this virus everywhere, we can't defeat it globally," said Gerber Yeosus, "it will have shelter and it can reappear."



He added, "Even if you have money, it doesn't mean you have money if you can't buy the vaccine," he stressed that the vaccine should be distributed fairly.



In response, President Steinmeier said that sharing the vaccine would benefit everyone, and stressed that distributing medicines during the pandemic period is "a litmus trial for global solidarity."



However, he is said to have mentioned that the Corona 19 vaccine is still a "rare commodity" and did not say when and how many vaccines Germany will donate to Kovacs.



Earlier, Germany announced that it would provide 1.5 billion euros (approximately 2 trillion won) to Kovacs at a meeting of 7 major countries (G7) held on the 19th.
