Berlin (dpa / bb) - Rapper Bushido stands as a witness in the criminal proceedings against his ex-business partner Arafat A.-Ch.

questions and answers for six months now.

The musician was called to the witness stand for the 20th time during the hearing at the Berlin district court on Monday.

I wanted to continue the business relationship "until the end of my life," said the rapper.

His dissolution proposals, which would have been linked to cash payments, were "not met with approval" by his ex-partner in the music business. 

The rapper, real name Anis Ferchichi, has been accompanied into the courtroom by bodyguards since the trial began in August 2020.

He is a joint plaintiff and a witness in the proceedings.

According to the indictment, crimes to his disadvantage are said to have come after the rapper broke off relations with his long-term business partner in September 2017.

I did not want to accept this and unjustifiably asked Bushido to pay millions and participate in his music business for 15 years.

Bushido was threatened, insulted, locked in an office in January 2018 and attacked with a water bottle and chair.

The prosecutor accuses the 44-year-old main defendant Arafat A.-Ch.

Insult, deprivation of liberty, attempted severe predatory extortion, coercion and dangerous bodily harm.

Three brothers of the clan chief are also accused.

The four men have not yet commented on the allegations.

On the 25th day of the negotiations, when asked, Bushido said he had also managed other rappers.

“Around twenty,” said the witness.

As a manager, he was involved with 20 percent.

As a manager, I asked for up to 50 percent of his income as a rapper for years, says Bushido.

The trial will continue on February 24th.

The musician is to be called to the stand again.
