Hear the municipal politician Jesper Hallén tell the story of the court and why they want to set up the sausage statue.

Every three years, politicians can submit proposals for art projects to the Gothenburg City Council.

The projects are funded by Charles Felix Lindberg's donation fund, which is behind several well-known memorials in Gothenburg - including Poseidon.

Twelve proposals have been submitted and are now competing to be selected by the municipality, which GP was the first to report on.

The decision will be made by the City Council this autumn.

The donation fund was started in 1909 after the businessman Charles Felix Lindberg bequeathed his fortune to the City of Gothenburg to be used for "the city's decoration and beautification".
