Greifswald (dpa / mv) - When checking a ship flying the Russian flag, federal police officers encountered an incomplete crew.

The officials found in the port of Greifswald-Ladebow that only ten of the twelve Russian crew members were present, as the federal police announced on Monday.

Accordingly, the captain and the engineer were missing.

Ship officers present were asked to contact the missing persons, whereupon they made five long tones with the ship's horn.

It was evidently an agreed signal.

Shortly afterwards, the day trippers climbed over the fence of the port facility and submitted to the control.

Their trip to a district of Greifswald brought them charges of violating the Residence Act.

In addition, the health department was informed after the incident on Sunday.

There is a threat of a penalty for violating the Corona entry regulation.
