Freiburg (dpa) - Sheet metal damage between brushes: A driver caused a rear-end collision in a car wash in Freiburg.
The man braked several times on the conveyor belt, so that the following car moved closer and closer and finally crashed.
When the man behind, frightened, also braked, a car crashed into his rear too.
The unusual accident occurred on Saturday, as the police reported on Monday under the heading “Not quite clean”.
Property damage occurred to the vehicles.
The police also reported: "The person who caused the accident drove unmolested out of the car wash in his now clean car and left the scene of the accident without permission without taking care of the claims settlement."
The Freiburg traffic police are investigating, but according to their own information, they must first check an important legal question: namely, “Whether the traffic route in the car wash is a public traffic area”.
