Three people have died today in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in an attack on a United Nations convoy.
The convoy was attacked near the city of Kanyamahoro as part of a kidnapping attempt.
Among those killed is the Italian ambassador to the country.
Many armed groups operate around the Virunga National Park, a place located on the border that the Congo shares with Rwanda and Uganda.
