Karlsruhe (dpa) - The supreme court processing of the VW emissions scandal continues.

Today, Monday, the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) is hearing a case from Saxony-Anhalt, which is particularly important for the Audi subsidiary.

Because the diesel owner has not sued the VW group, but Audi directly for damages.

The question is whether the Ingolstadt-based carmaker is also liable, although the scandalous EA189 engine was developed at Volkswagen.

According to Audi, there are a low four-digit number of such lawsuits, but the cases are not all comparable.

The verdict should not be announced in the afternoon, but soon.

The Karlsruhe judges actually wanted to negotiate a lawsuit against VW because of the software updates that were subsequently installed.

This appointment was canceled at short notice after the car buyer withdrew his revision.
