The small state in the Middle East is not only vaccinating its population at high speed, it is also collecting data at breakneck speed.

Israel's vaccination campaign produces new studies and findings every week, which are received with great excitement in the rest of the world.

As shown in a first, unpublished study by the Israeli Ministry of Health with Pfizer-Biontech, which is available to WELT, the vaccination apparently prevents people who have been vaccinated from becoming infected and other people from contracting the corona virus.

The recent excitement surrounding this study shows the German double standard when it comes to collecting data.

On the one hand, people eagerly follow all available information from Israel, on the other hand, politicians in this country like to refer to data protection when the question arises why something similar is not possible in Germany.
