This Monday, the departmental direction for the protection of populations (DDPP) of Gironde has just published a sizeable financial sanction for the leader of e-commerce Cdiscount, based in Bordeaux.

It imposed an administrative fine of € 986,432 against it for “failure to provide a compliant order summary concerning the Cdiscount subscription to Volonté.

"

This offer allowed faster delivery of certain products ordered on the merchant site, against 29 euros per year.

Under the economic protection of consumers, the DDPP fines the company for this device.

One of its missions is to ensure "clear and fair information on the prices of products and services".

According to

Sud-Ouest

, the e-commerce giant would have appealed against this decision.
