Qatar Petroleum - owned by the State of Qatar - has signed a long-term agreement with "Vitol" - the largest oil trading company in the world - under which Qatar Petroleum will supply 1.25 million tons annually of LNG to Vitol customers in Bangladesh.

Under the agreement, delivery of LNG will begin this year, which is a confirmation of Qatar's continued commitment to meet its customers' growing needs for reliable supplies of LNG.

The Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi - Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Petroleum - expressed his company's happiness in signing this agreement with Vitol, and said, "We look forward to starting the supply operations to contribute to meeting the energy needs of the Republic of Bangladesh."

Al-Kaabi concluded his statement by stressing that this agreement highlights Qatar Petroleum's great ability to meet the needs of the company's partners and customers.
